This position requires a compassionate, flexible, and detail orientated approach to our students.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Dispense medications Administer medications Communicate with parents & teachers pertaining to any and all medical emergencies, illnesses, injuries, etc Supervise/schedule part time nursing staff Good verbal and written communication skills Monitor the health of all students Comply with all safety regulations and policies Document and communicate all medical concerns Provide first aid care as needed Package medications for distribution at an offsite location Maintains the students records as needed Assure the security of the health office and supplies Serve as a resource person regarding all health issues Complete all required state and federal documentation as needed Order supplies as needed Education and
Experience:
Considerable knowledge of medical disorders and treatment Considerable knowledge of child growth and development Working knowledge of general nursing practices Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations affecting the delivery of school health services.
Ability to evaluate the students' medical issues Must be a current Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of New York, or eligible for licensure in New York Must be currently certified in First Aid/CPR/ADE Job Type:
